"do you want me to start the log or should i?"
[....
...
............Sigh.
It was work time yet again for Marchosias, and he just didn't feel like being here, as usual. Day in and day out he would assist Minos with sending each helpless soul to their designated circle. It was boring to Minos, but seeing all the people coming in... well, it made the already hopeless Marc feel even more like there was no chance for any humans anymore.
He leaned back in his seat, he was sitting at one of the many places in the area that looked out over the Court Room if you will. His gaze went upward, staring at the sky as usual, the darkened clouds and the constantly falling bodies left much to be desired.
He could hear the constant, 'ah, treachery.... mm... greed.... perhaps- lust?' coming from Minos a little ways away from him. The king was practiced and precise, but Marchosias could tell Minos was bored with his work as well.]

The king nods, looking at Phenex with a smile.]
Go right ahead. I won't mind. As long as you bring him back in one piece~ ohoho...!
[Marc's eye twitched at that laugh. He pulled his hand away from her, looking down at her and seeing that pout. There was... Really no way out of this, was there? He just grunts, and that's a good enough answer that he'll go with her.]
no subject
Thank you! [ Without warning, she quickly drags him along as she makes her way out of the court and into the fields of flowers. It's a pretty sight to her until she realizes that it has been the prettiest she has ever seen in the past centuries.
She chuckles. ] It's funny how you agreed without even knowing what you were getting into. Were you really that bored?

They reminded him of how there's something better out there, more beautiful, and yet he's stuck down here. The constant fear that one day he'll wake up and be stuck in that beastly form of his yet again.
He brought a hand up to his forehead though, rubbing it as he walked with her.]
....It was so boring that Minos started looking for typos in his papers for fun. He found three and just had to share them all with me.
no subject
[ She lets go of his wrist and picks a few flowers along the way. ] No matter how beautiful it is.
[ As soon as she says that, the flowers dissolve into nothing, and their surroundings seem to do the same. Pieces of the grey sky shatter, turning it a deep, dark shade of blue. Bigger clouds form, and the first thunder clap breaks the silence. ]
no subject
...Nix.
[he really only calls her by her nickname when they're alone.]
You haven't told me why you're dragging me with you. [not even the thunder disturbed him.]
no subject
You'll accompany me, won't you? I don't trust anyone else.
no subject
But....
He's already walking past her.]
Whatever. I'd suggest you get moving before I change my mind though. Still.... what's in it for me exactly?
no subject
[ She stops both of them and looks at the sky. Although she doesn't show it, she's concerned about the weather. The temperature, too - if there's anything she hates, it's the cold. ]
Do you want to go on foot? I prefer to fly before it starts pouring.
[ But before she spreads her wings, she hears a cry. ]
no subject
Sure.... I'm not a fan of getting all wet either.
[His train of thought is cut off though thanks to that cry. He hears it all the time in limbo, the babies sent here always sadden him. For some reason he's walking over to the source of that sound, curious.]
no subject
Shh, shh... [ This is all she can do to pacify the baby as she approaches her. Her smile, although of joy, is also that of sadness. If only she could hold the child without the fear of burning her in her arms. ]
Oh, she's beautiful.
[ Words are never enough, however. She nods at Marc, urging him to come and pick the baby up. ]
no subject
As he pondered this he just looked at Phenex for a moment before kneeling down and picking the child up, careful to treat it properly. He craddled it as he stood up straight again, staring down at the child and a small smile crept up to his face.]
I wonder what name this child had.... [before it died and was sent here. That smile went away and was replaced with a slight scowl.]
no subject
[ The smile on her face never fades away, hiding how painful the truth is to her. Be it human or angel, God didn't give second chances. But... she knows Marc won't be happy if she ended on that note. She peers at the infant from behind him. ]
It's not too late to give her one.
no subject
[The parents probably did have a name picked out though, and before they could have properly given it to her, she had died. It was all far too cruel- this baby never had a chance to start life and yet it was already down in hell.
How he hated this place and all its inhabitants.
He glanced over at her though, taking her words into consideration. He nodded a bit, looking back at the crying child.]
What do you think would be a good one?
no subject
... Marchiosias the Second.
[ SHE'S NOT TAKING THIS SERIOUSLY!!!
is what most people would say, but she isn't the type to make a joke at this time. ]
no subject
That's hardly a girl name. Aren't other females supposed to be good at naming things?
no subject
[ She huffs. ] I suppose I can drop the second S.
no subject
[her name sucks so hard.]
...What about Obdulia? "She who takes away sadness and pain" ...I believe.
[he's reaching down and grabbing some Latin here.]
no subject
[ Hell was meant for punishment. She hasn't forgotten that. ]
I like it.
no subject
[his voice is as dry as ever.
But.... now what. What to do with the child?]
....We should get going, don't you need to get down to the lower levels?
[even so, he doesn't really want to leave the child, but he knows he'll have to.]
no subject
no subject
[a pause...]
...We're not bringing her to the next circle, you know that's lust.
no subject
I just need a place to keep her safe and dry. [ It's dark, so she lights a fire in her hand. ] Is it alright to bring her where the philosophers live?
no subject
....They... might not like that but- we can try at least. I don't think they'd mind too much.
If not then, oh well. Not like I care that much.
